Plumbing Contractors

Underground

(Rough-in)

The first step in any new plumbing construction project is to lay the network of piping that resides under one’s boots. The phrase rough-in is shared between their underground and above-ground portions. During the underground rough-in phase, our line-up of experienced plumbers uses blueprints designed by a team of choice project managers in order to locate all supply, drainage, and sewer lines. After establishing where these systems will enter and leave the building, piping will be laid, inspected, and their respective drains will be prepped for the next phase. This will highlight where every shower, toilet, sink, bathtub, faucet, hydrant, drain, valve, and every other type of fixture will reside. In order to prevent ground leaks and backflow forming, it is important to have the right hands on the job as sloppy sewer lines lead to long-term liabilities. Just like our plumbing process, KR Mechanical was built from the ground-up by sturdy hands and refined minds.

Pharmaceutical Industry

When a business in the pharmaceutical industry has a heating, cooling, ventilation or refrigeration problem, it can cost thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage as well as the potential for putting workers at risk. KR Mechanical has teams of experienced commercial HVAC and industrial refrigeration technicians that can provide innovative solutions for a design-build or building retrofit to get you safely back up and running. We offer a wide array of services to support entities in the pharmaceutical industry for proper inspection, installation, and startup of HVAC and refrigeration systems, such as:

  • modeling & asset planning

  • innovative energy optimization

  • mechanical services & piping

  • building automation systems

  • cooling tower pumps & valves

  • custom fabrication & modification

  • chiller plant optimization

  • laboratory air distribution

  • photo-catalytic air filtration

Finish work

(Trim-out)

In the finishing phase, our plumbers prioritize a quality finish to ensure our clients are completely satisfied. In Raymond Chin’s own words, “A finished project is a self-portrait of those who completed it.” With all of the prep work being lined up in the previous two stages, it is time for our plumbers to finally install the fixtures. We also install shut-off valves on toilets, dishwashers, and water heaters per laws and regulations, but also have the option to install fast shut-off valves for any fixture to increase longevity. This is also the phase where our plumbers connect the gas lines to gas appliances such as fireplaces. Depending on the control scheme outlined in the construction plans, technology has allowed us to implement automatic controls that regulate pipe pressure could be installed.

Commercial Plumbing

When clients schedule an industrial-level project, there is sometimes a bit of confusion on why our plumbers need piping and fixtures with higher durability ratings instead of using the same piping and fixtures as residential plumbing. Simply put, if a household were to take fifty showers in one day, the piping would show higher wear and tear than a household that aims for one shower a day. The same line of thinking can be applied to commercial buildings where our plumbers install plumbing lines, and as KR Mechanical strives for complete client satisfaction, our plumbers use the correct quality of material scoped in each job, calculated by our proficient project managers down to each theoretical flush. Another substantial difference between residential and commercial plumbing is the scope of damage if something goes awry. If a plumber installs a cheaper-grade PVC in a residential house that bursts, the damages will be contained within that one house. To draw a parallel, if the same scenario plays out with an industrial plant, the scope of the damage is multiplied by thirty. Despite that much pressure being laid on our accomplished project managers with such little room for error, KR Mechanical is built with the highest-grade staff, ensuring a crack will never occur in our main lines.

Our Range

Here at KR Mechanical, we pride ourselves on our portfolio. The range of our projects extends through restaurants, office complexes, entire warehouses, hospitals, gymnasiums, storage facilities, government facilities, assisted living facilities, and many many more. We have even kept our plumbing in-house when setting up our own new office, so when clients come down and feel the optimal water pressure sliding against their hands in the sink, they’ll know exactly who it came from.
